Re: New version up
Sat, December 27, 2003 - 2:26 AMAll I get is a 403 error when I try to view the site, alas. Holiday glitches?
Also finally went to go look at the PA code on SourceForge, and it seems to be mostly JSP?? I got the idea from Marc's posts in other tribes (like the promo post in "PHP Developers") that this was going to a PHP project. Did it shift between this fall and this winter? Or am I missing a thing?
(Not that the language choice matters much to me - I'm as much a Java geek as a PHP geek. Just curious.)
See some of you at the O'Reilly Emerging Tech. conference, I think? -

Re: New version up
Tue, December 30, 2003 - 10:35 PMYes - I'm doing a :05 blast on PeepAgg - which will hopefully be back up and back on SF - next week. Complete rewrite - major FOAF faux paix fixed, balh blah blah, automated testing, coolio new features.
The JSP you see is for the SourceID digital identity server - I believe. It'll have php binding code - and PeepAgg is all php. And will be available - for YOU. -

Re: New version up
Fri, January 2, 2004 - 1:22 PMI can't wait for the new version, I noticed a 403 too when I tried recently...
Ps. It's "faux pas" not "faux paix". The latter means "false peace" :-P -

minor code comments
Tue, February 17, 2004 - 4:29 AMChecked out a copy as instructed here: devel.peopleaggregator.com/Prog...Notes , and so far it's running fine on my OS X box. Sweet.
But dudes, what's with all the hard-coded URLs in the smarty templates? I've got to munge all the display bits so the image tags, etc. will work locally while I play around. Why have a config file that accepts a new domain if you don't respect it in the code?
Also, I can't get the copy running on my OS X box to recognize my FOAF file on peopleaggregator.com as valid. Is this the same bug reported back in December over here: devel.peopleaggregator.com/Issue002 ??
Overall - it's pretty cool. I love that I could go hear Marc rant about FOAF at eTech and start playing with PeopleAggregator the day I got home.

Re: minor code comments
Thu, February 19, 2004 - 1:33 PMUm - gee I guess I can publicly say "yes - we have bugs" - wanna help fix them?
I can't question any of Eric's decisions 'specially when he's asking me to find mroe bodies to help him. Once we get a critical mass of folks working with Eric (full or p/t) THEN I can complain about features. -

Re: minor code comments
Fri, February 20, 2004 - 3:57 AMSorry if that came off too complain-y. Y'all are doing very cool things. My social rhythm is way way off this week, for several irrelevant and boring reasons. -
